About Our Company

Lucuma Designs was founded in 1998 by Alessandra Bravo and Don Blackowiak, a
Peruvian-American team with the goal of promoting the best of Peruvian
craftsmanship and originality.
Collaborating with over 100 exceptional Peruvian artists since 1998,
their fine craftsmanship, traditions and artistic talent with creativity, fresh
ideas and quality control to develop an outstanding handcrafted collection.

Lucuma Designs currently serves a select market of distinctive specialty
stores, museums, botanic gardens and boutiques across the US and abroad who
enjoy the originality and fine quality of the products.
In the Fall of 2004, Lucuma ventured into the world of fashion by launching the
Lucuma Fashion Handbag Collection. Five lines of upscale handbags, created by Lucuma President Alessandra
Bravo and Peruvian designer Valerie Doehler, can also be found on their new website
www.lucumafashion.com.

Lucuma Designs offers customization
and designing services in all of their lines.
As a socially responsible company, Lucuma Designs has been an active member the
Fair Trade Federation since 1999. FTF is a non-profit organization promoting
sustainable trade and Lucuma Designs’ President currently serves on its board.
