Behold a family of Peruvian potters hard at work in this charming retablo. Hand-shaped figurines were carefully painted and arranged inside a handcrafted wooden box to create this energetic scene. Retablos are best displayed in a safe yet approachable place in which one is able to enjoy the trademark craftsmanship, colors and detail of fine folk art from Ayacucho, Peru. (Click on the picture for a closer view.) This one-of-a-kind masterpiece was created and signed by Luis Rodriguez, the nephew of world-renowned retablo masters Claudio and Nicario Jimenez.
