Loving our 1% for the Planet Commitment
With love for our Mother Earth and all earthlings, each year Lucuma Designs commits to donate at least 1% of our sales to environmental organizations dedicated to restoring eco-systems, supporting indigenous communities, and protecting natural habitats.
For us protecting seed diversity via Seed Savers Exchange, water quality through Water For People and forests through partners like Amazon Watch and Trees, Water & People just makes sense. We’re also happily supporting many local organizations in Florida, as we want future generations to enjoy the beauty of this state.
Products like our fun finger puppets made with organic cotton close the loop between our customers who want toys beyond the screen, our knitting partners who want to send their children to school and the organic farmers who grow the cotton. We sometimes talk to folks who think 1% is not very much, yet we can assure you that 1% of sales adds up to a significant percentage of profits. And our 1% For The Planet partnership ensures that our donations are verified each and every year.
