“I started painting masks in 2014. Nature inspires me the most --especially the butterflies and flowers I see around my home. I enjoy painting at my dad’s finca (ranch) up in the cloud forest where it is very quiet and peaceful.”

Rosa, one of the few female artists in Boruca, enjoys trading ideas and inspiration with others such as her artist brothers Luis Miguel, Francisco or Manuel. In 2019, thanks to her mask work, Rosa and partner Ovidio opened Soda Breson,  the new and only restaurant in Boruca!
